Bruno Groening Circle of Friends
A higher power exists which can help everyone. It is a part of all religions and was known to physicians centuries ago. Bruno Groening (1906-1959) had very precise, intuitive knowledge of this energy and through his simple teachings he made it available to everyone. The words of Bruno Groening, “There is no such thing as incurable; God is the greatest Physician,” continue to prove their validity today through medically documented healings. This power is abundantly available for everyone. The knowledge about how to make use of this power is passed on free of charge in the worldwide non-profit, volunteer based organization of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends, (www.bruno-groening.org/english).
Meetings of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends are held in GTA, Hamilton and Guelph. If you wish to attend these meeting call Susan Stewart at (416) 203-7576.

Charter Challenge on Prescription Drug Advertising Adjourned Indefinitely
The Charter challenge case on prescription drug advertising between CanWest Media works Inc. and the Attorney General of Canada has been adjourned indefinitely due to financial difficulties of the CanWest Corporation. The case was scheduled to be heard before the Superior Court of Justice in Ontario June 15 to 19, 2009.
A coalition of groups, including Women and Health Protection, was granted intervener status in the case to present evidence about the risks to public safety of lifting Canada’s ban on direct-to-consumer advertising of prescription drugs. CanWest Media- works mounted the Charter challenge to the statutory prohibition on direct-to-consumer advertising (DTCA) of prescription drugs in 2005 on the basis that the current regulations on DTCA in Canada infringe on the company’s right to freedom of expression.
Ontario Hits Pause on Nuclear
Ontario’s race to build new nuclear units at the Darlington Nuclear Station has turned into a slow stroll. Energy Minister George Smitherman today announced that the province has indefinitely postponed any decision on building new nuclear units until the federal government decides what it will do with the troubled Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. (AECL).
The Minister also noted that unless he sees a better price than what was offered in the first round of proposals, Ontario will not purchase any new nukes.
These statements and actions are to be commended as they hint at a more enlightened approach to Ontario’s energy future – one that favours plentiful green and clean alternatives over high cost, high risk nuclear power (for more on these, see our Powerful Options report, www.cleanairalliance.org/).
Now it is time for the federal government to get sensible and say no to throwing more money at the “dysfunctional sinkhole” of AECL (www.thestar.com/article/649629). Using federal money to pay for Ontario’s nuclear plants is just taking money from taxpayers’ right pockets instead of their left – the bottom line is still more wasteful bailouts for yesterday’s technology.
Please congratulate Energy Minister George Smitherman (www.ontla.on.ca/web/members/members_detail.do?locale=en&ID=88) on his sensible move to postpone any decision on costly nuclear, and please tell Prime Minister Stephen Harper (www.cleanairalliance.org/send_a_message) that you do not support further subsidies for AECL.
