BEAUTIFUL MAMA SPA GIVES MOMS A BREAK

The recently launched holistic Beautiful Mama spa is the brain child of Klara Foster, who knows moms need to recharge their batteries so they can get through diapers, sleep deprivation, teething, and tantrums.

With professional child-minding services available on- site, Beautiful Mama offers stressed out and tired moms the chance to relax and be renewed. The child care space holds a maximum of six children, and is sound-proofed so moms can truly enjoy their relaxing treatments, and not be disturbed by either their own or another child crying. The child-minding services is special, as the only alternative is to either hire a sitter and leave the children at home, or find one of the few spas that are child-friendly, and be constantly interrupted by demands to be fed, changed, or entertained.

In addition to manicures, pedicures, massages, and facials, Foster has designed treatments for expecting mothers – something rarely offered in other spas. There will also be a series of programs and regimens to help moms care for their skin during hormonal changes, diet, post-partum depression, and stress management. Inspired by food and skin allergies, Foster will also offer parents evening workshops with experts that include naturopaths, homeopaths, behavioural counsellors, allergists and osteopaths.

Located in the heart of downtown Burlington, Beautiful Mama has taken over the long-time vacant heritage building that was formerly The Tea House in Village Square, located at 416 Pearl St., just steps from great shopping, gourmet restaurant, and coffee houses. For more info, call (289) 288-2999, or visit beautifulmama.ca.
