When our lives present us with profound experiences, there is a very strong possibility our personal stories are in synch with a larger “teaching” story that is unfolding out in the universe. Likewise, when others share with us their stories, we often recognize our own journey. This summer and fall we are living rich lives that seem in full volume; whether it is emotionally, spiritually or physically, there is a feeling of transformation in the air. I would like to share how my own journey has been unfolding lately, and see if it resonates with your own.

Life feels like its speeding up, as the frequency of light increases on the earth.

I would liken it to learning to stand in the center of the river, and, despite the current, not be swept away.

My last few columns have been talking about feeling drawn to the journey into our authentic self, so that from that place of clarity and identity, we can energize ourselves to co-create a new world.

As I type, Ted Kennedy is speaking on a news program describing how deeply he senses a wave of change right now, that will rewrite the world. It sounds, based on the cheering at the democratic convention where he is speaking, that he is not the only one feeling that transformation in the air.

As we move into the later summer, with approaching autumn months, there is more a feeling of urgency, as though the current is stronger. In other words, there is an energetic opportunity in the world right now, to be the best possible version of ourselves, and then speak and act from our hearts. In this way, we will be better wizards; better co-creators.

Well, it is one thing to write about it and sense the urgency of it, and quite another to become the energy itself, but that is what needs to happen; for us to re claim our birthright as co-creators with the earth, we need to get rid of the old beliefs that weight us down, limit our imaginations, keep us dense, rather than artists of light and vibration. Remember, the only scientific difference between a diamond and your dad, is how the light and vibration weave themselves.

All of us have been getting a clarion call to become more luminous.

Over the last few years many of us have been changing jobs, moving residences, creating healthier relationships, or moving out of ones that are not feeding us. Usually an important component to our evolution is exploring our woundedness. For us to be creators, we need to heal our own wounds. Through the process we discover how our wound is a gateway to our core inner strengths.

So like most of us, I had to throw some sandbags overboard to lighten my load. In my case this meant going into my unconscious, with the help of a journey therapist, and see what was needing to come out. Well they say the fastest way into the light is through the dark, and into the dark I went; in fact, back to the womb and to my ‘dry’ birth.

Without getting into the details, the emotional journey in many ways began there, and I could see how many “stuck” behaviors had been deeply influenced by my pre-verbal emotional response to that early originating event.

Days after this recent journey, I found myself in a sweat lodge without the usual feeling of being trapped in the darkness.

The continuing process for me is about facing things I normally would shy away from, and rediscovering myself, unafraid to take the risk and “putting myself out there”. And with all profound experiences, there is going to be an incredible deepening of my experience of my own life, as those old beliefs and old stories fall away and my authentic self is released, transformed and re-birthed. Things will change.

As each of us face the currents of change, be it out in the physical world of people and things in our internal landscape, our own light vibration will increase, and allow us to channel light and love into our communities, into the natural world around us, shifting reality for everyone. Easy breezy.

I highly recommend spending some time quietly contemplating how you  visualize life on the planet in the future. Dream big. When you have seen it fully, send it up into the collective imagination and let it resonate up there. No doubt we’ll all catch it drifting by, and some of us will even make it come true.
