Aquarius: January 20 – February 17
Tension mounts until the 7th when it releases you into a sense of new beginnings. All possible futures should be considered. This may be confusing at the moment, but from the 18th clarity begins to emerge and by the 20th the main challenge is to figure out how you will finance those dreams of yours. If you need a silent partner or a loan from the bank be very aware of what the small print says. Scrutinize all contracts around the 25th. What you buy now you will pay for later. Put your heart and soul on the table on Valentine’s Day. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Pisces: March 20 – April 19
You float on the ocean of your dreams for the first three weeks of February. Some say that life is but a dream. If so it’s quite the lucid one at the moment. See what you can do in this state but generally your greatest strength at this time lies in observing the dream we call reality. Expect passionate communication around Valentine’s Day but don’t alter your life on account of it; at least not until the 21st by which time you will have a fuller, more awakened perception of the relationship. By then the dream is over and as reality takes hold you become acutely present to the expectations of others. By the 26th, commitments you make are for real and will stick for a long time to come.

Aries: March 20 – April 19
Trying to make things happen the way you want is a bit like Brer Rabbit and the tar baby. The more you try to create freedom and a better world for yourself and others, the more restrictions stick to you. Be mindful. If you find yourself shallow-breathing and rushing madly, slow down and find center. It’s much easier to be idealistic from a place of non-attachment at least until the 18th when all those idealistic possibilities reveal their true nature. The chaos that lives at the core of real change breaks onto the shore of your life. No worries. All you need is to deal with it – one issue at a time and you will be amazed at how quickly chaos takes you to real and positive change. On Valentine’s Day use your wits to attract love. Or just hang out with your friends.

Taurus: April 20 – May 20
Ambition is high and real progress is being made especially from the 7th – 16th. Even so, you can’t see all factors in play until after the 18th. Proceed with determination as well as humility and know the truth of the aphorism: Man proposes, God disposes. Love and commitment have you in their sites on the 20th – 25th. You can have it all if you’re into doing the work. Where art is concerned this period is about strengthening your technique. Where romance is the issue, honesty is the best policy. Who is s/he and for that matter, who are you and what will it really take to make a go of it? For Valentine’s Day, spend a little money if you want to impress your honey.

Gemini: May 21 – June 20
Look for a windfall or a good investment on the 1st. Weigh it on the scales of reality (if it’s too good to be true, it is). Move forward with new plans from the 6th. Trust your impulses from the 11th – 16th but don’t sign any contracts if you can help it before the 18th. Tension from the 20th – 26th is about balancing the desire to achieve your goals with the need to maintain security for you and yours. Invite your true love or potential true love to an intellectually stimulating or sport related event for Valentine’s Day.

Cancer: June 21 – July 21
On the 1st your lover wants to give you things to show you how much s/he loves you. You truly want to believe this is love, not manipulation, but anxiety rises because you sense a fundamental lack of understanding between the two of you. Angst releases into profound communication from the 11th – 16th if you keep fear from propelling your speech. Education, editing and/or neighbourhood issues demand your attention from the 20th – 26th. The devil may be in the details but so is the solution. Give your Valentine a love letter that shows a glimpse of your soul and be happy if you get sweets and flowers in return.

Leo: July 22 – August 22
We all want love, especially in February if we have grown numb to the quickening of the year. Look up. Notice the days growing longer. As the sun waxes in strength your heart rises to meet it if you understand that the love that bonds us to one another is but a reflection of the love that bonds us to life. The secret to long lasting love or life is to love it as it is given. Listen to love, be it in the words and actions of your beloved or the thoughts and motivations inside your own head from the 3rd – 18th. If you can’t abide by what you hear, either change your attitude or move on. Share resources responsibly from the 21st – 27th. Sign contracts, make reparation and only invest in sustainability. Invite your friends to meet your lover on Valentine’s Day.

Virgo: August 23 – September 22
If you are compelled by your inner hermit to spend more time alone or at work, this is not antisocial. Much can be gained if you aren’t also shut down to love. Until the 18th organize, prepare and adjust your lifestyle to offer time alone as well as time for the ones you love. Romance requires responsibility. Guilt is a wet blanket in matters of the heart. Only if you really want her/him should you bother. From the 19th – 26th choose panic or process. Panic forces retreat. (Is this the only way you can get privacy?) Process strengthens a healthy wholesome way of life. This way lays sanity. If you’re into Valentine’s Day take it slow and sensual. It’s not a make-work project.

Libra: September 22 – October 22
Love is kind even when understanding is not easy. Remember this from the 3rd – 7th when it seems next to impossible to understand your feelings about someone you love. Loving kindness opens the door to creativity and self knowledge from the 11th – 16th. From the 18th your innate sense of diplomacy combines with your good looks and everyone benefits just from knowing you. From the 19th – 26th take inventory of your inner world. Life is hard to navigate when you lose connection to the soul. On Valentine’s Day give your beloved a poem with equal parts of beauty and truth.

Scorpio: October 23 – Novemer 21
Scorpios are often people of great skill and courage. Nevertheless they can really miss the boat in terms of family dynamics. For example, until the 6th there could be anxiety, confusion, miscommunication and skeletons fairly dancing out of closets. And you haven’t a clue why! From the 7th – 15th courage to face down family demons comes with skill at realizing they are only ignorant humans who want to be happy. Breakthrough! From the 19th – 26th life is blessedly simpler. Pleasure can be found in performing mundane tasks which remind you that staying in this moment is what makes life sweet. For Valentine’s Day use kind words to cut through delusions about who owes what to whom.

Sagittarius: November 22 – December 20
On the 1st it is clear that money is for spending. On the 3rd you are drawn to all possibilities. You are like Alice in Wonderland. Remember that being friends with the Mad Hatter had its rough moments. Someone you have been grappling with for months shows their true colors on the 15th. Do not turn away from seeing what is actually there. The truth will set you free and that’s the truth. Edgy demands could make you feel inadequate from the 19th – 26th but only if you forget that you always have and ever will be human (in this life anyway). This implies a certain amount of imperfection. But as fragile and crazy as we are, look at all we can accomplish especially when we remember we are all interconnected. Spar with your true love on Valentine’s Day.

Capricorn: December 21 – January 19
Give people the chance to see your beauty on the 1st. Stay grounded financially at least until the 18th. Everything you do with money is about power these days and power and money can easily corrupt or transform. Sometimes it’s impossible to tell the difference. From the 18th your sources of information are clearer. Your expertise is useful for teaching others from the 20th – 26th. If they don’t want to learn, leave them to their ignorance and become the student at the feet of someone else’s expertise. The best wisdom comes from experience. For Valentine’s Day clean up the house and give your beloved organic, fair-trade, not-too-sweet chocolates.
